Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parades on Tuesday, February 17 Presenting the New Golf Cart Signature Throw
Covington, LA — Join the Krewe of Bogue Falaya (formerly known as Carnival in Covington) as it rolls through downtown Covington on Mardi Gras Day, Tuesday, February 17, 2026. This year’s parade will feature Tim Lantrip, owner of the English Tea Room and Eatery in historic downtown Covington, as Grand Marshal.
The parade theme, “Reality of the Imagination,” will come to life with 23 floats, 600 riding members, 10 marching groups, and 8 marching bands, celebrating the spirit, culture, and imagination of Mardi Gras in Covington. In addition, this year will feature our Inaugural Krewe of Karts. The Krewe of Bogue Falaya parade will immediately follow the 10 a.m. parade.
In addition to Mardi Gras Day festivities, the krewe will host a special Lundi Gras celebration on Monday, February 16, 2026. A second-line parade will begin at 4 p.m. at Bogue Falaya Park, where Lantrip will arrive by riverboat on the Bogue Falaya River. The procession will second-line to the steps of The Southern Hotel, where he will be officially honored and received by the officers of the Krewe. The celebration will conclude with champagne and king cake and is open to the public.
New for 2026, the Krewe of Bogue Falaya will debut a signature throw — a beautifully decorated gold golf cart, inspired by Covington’s well-known golf cart culture and our Krewe of Karts. These limited-edition throws will be available exclusively from the Officers’ Float.
Please note the parade route and parade time. This is a correction from some publications. See you all on Mardi Gras Day!
