Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parade Announces Tim Lantripas the 2026 Grand Marshal for the Krewe of Bogue Falaya’s Mardi Gras Day Parade in Covington
Covington, LA – The Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parade and its officers proudly announce Tim Lantrip, esteemed owner of the English Tea Room and Eatery in historic downtown Covington, as Grand Marshal for the 2026 Mardi Gras parade. The announcement, held at the Southern Hotel, was attended by parade members, elected officials, community leaders, and friends.
Tim is the heart behind the English Tea Room, where he has created a welcoming destination for culture, hospitality, and community. With a professional background in construction, real estate, and banking, Tim brings creativity and vision to everything he does. Honored with both the St. Tammany Parish President’s Award and the Patron of the Arts Award, he is also an active member of the Covington Garden Club and Church of the King. Tim continues to inspire the community through creativity, service, and connection—one cup at a time.
“We are thrilled that Tim will reign as our 2026 Grand Marshal for the Krewe of Bogue Falaya,” said Captain and Parish Councilman Larry Rolling. “As a business owner and active community member, he is beloved by so many and will serve our krewe well.”
Co-Captain Amy Tucker announced that the parade will not only honor Tim but also celebrate this year’s theme, “Reality of Imagination,” featuring 24 floats, 800 riding members, marching bands, and community groups for Mardi Gras Day 2026. This year is also the inauguration of the Krewe of Karts featuring 20 golf karts decorated to compete for the Best Kart!
The celebration begins on Lundi Gras, February 16, 2026, with a second-line parade starting at the winding Bogue Falaya River and Park. Lantrip will arrive by riverboat and parade to the steps of the Southern Hotel, where he will be honored by krewe officers and presented with the keys to the city by elected officials. The festivities will conclude with a champagne and king cake celebration open to the community.

Grand Marshal History
The Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parade has proudly operated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization since 2020. Our mission is to support local businesses while providing a safe, family-friendly parade experience in downtown Covington each Mardi Gras Day. Our Grand Marshal’s are carefully selected for their outstanding contributions to the community and their support of other nonprofit organizations. These individuals are respected leaders on the Northshore, recognized for their dedication and positive impact.
Carnival in Covington: 2020-Pat Gallagher
A proud Covington native, Pat Gallagher has deep roots in St. Tammany Parish. Pat graduated from Covington High in 1968 and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.Pat opened his first restaurant, The Winner’s Circle, in Folsom in 1978, eventually expanding to multiple locations. He also managed the iconic Bechac’s Restaurant in Mandeville, later renamed Camelia Beachhouse. Pat launched Gallagher’s Restaurant & Bar and Gallagher’s on the Lake, later relocating both operations to the historic Annadele’s Plantation in Covington. He also operated Maison Lafitte in Mandeville He currently operates Gallagher’s Grill in Covington and Pat Gallagher’s 527 Restaurant & Bar in Mandeville.
For over 20 years, Pat and his dedicated team have been vendors at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He actively supports local causes including the Chef’s Soirée, Hospice Foundation, and Children’s Museum Project, and regularly donates to schools and churches across the parish. 2021-No parade due to Covid
2022-Hayley Arceneaux Hayley Arceneaux, a proud Northshore native, is best known for making history in September 2021 as a crew member on SpaceX’s Inspiration4—the first all-civilian spaceflight. A childhood cancer survivor and the first person to travel to space with a prosthesis, Hayley has become a global symbol of courage, resilience, and hope. Today, she continues her mission of healing and advocacy as a Physician Assistant at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the very place where she received life-saving treatment as a child. In honor of her remarkable journey and enduring impact, a donation has been made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to support childhood cancer research and care.
2023-Spud McConnell Spud McConnell has been a professional actor, performer, and voice talent for over 45 years. He has been onstage and backstage, a Producer, in movies, documentaries and sitcoms such as Rosanne, Treme and Hap and Leonard. McConnell also works as the Community Relations Director for the Terrebonne Churches United Foodbank.
In honor of this year’s Grand Marshal, donations have been made to two impactful organizations: the Terrebonne Churches United Foodbank and theCovington Food Bank. These contributions reflect our shared commitment to supporting those in need across the region.
Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parade: 2024-GreyHawk Perkins The native American traditional bearer, cultural historian, educator, musician and recording artist. Greyhawk has worked as a cultural coordinator for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, an Interpretive Ranger for the Louisiana Office of State Parks, cultural naturalist for the Audubon Louisiana Nature & Science Center, storyteller at the Smithsonian Natural Museum of the American Indian and the First Grand Marshall for the Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parade and Lundi Gras Celebration. He is a true advocate for the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra.
In honor of this year’s Grand Marshal, a donation has been made to The GreaterNew Orleans Youth Orchestra, supporting their mission to inspire young musicians and enrich our cultural landscape.
2025-Lisa Condrey Ward Lisa Condrey Ward is the owner of the historic Southern Hotel, a landmark gem in the heart of Covington and the cherished setting for the Grand Marshal Soirée and Lundi Gras Celebration. A passionate advocate for preservation and community, Ward is the past president of both the Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation and Keep Covington Beautiful. She currently serves on the City of Covington Historic District Commission and is the founder of the Covington Public Art Fund.
An initial member of the Krewe of Bogue Falaya Parade, Ward has played an instrumental role in shaping the spirit and success of our organization.
In honor of her service and leadership, a donation has been made to the Covington Public Art Fund to support its continued mission of enriching our community through public art.
